ok i have a soundblaster....latest drivers all setting are correct etc.

problem: all .wav's come through as static

..the same .wav file's work fine on my computer and in any other
program....the problem is only associated with aw

Seeing as you just referred to your sound card as a SoundBlaster, I can only
assume it's the ANCIENT 8 bit version. Now either figure out what the hell
it really is or spend $20 on at least a 486 era SoundBlaster 16

Or if your computers got an open PCI slot go buy a SB Live! MP3+ 5.1, runs
great on my machine.
