Oops...... When I was installing my second hard drive, either my monitor
died, or i broke sumpin. So I kinda cant get my monitor outta standby mode.
Just packed it up to send it to the shop. Unfortunately, I wont be online
until the shop is done overcharging us for them bending our hard drive
connectors (like they did with my last comp, and they didnt even fix it).
And if any of you think that I shouldnt be able to post this, i didnt
sell/trash my 5 year old mac for nothin. Hopefully it's a motherboard
problem, and my dad will buy me that new AMD 1 GHz killer. (From Cyrix 233
to AMD 1000)
Anyways... This is Wing, signing off...

Computer guy finally called, turns out computer guy is really FEMALE
(but not blonde).

Turns out power supply overloaded and ate my motherboard, and the only
other card in that system, my modem for breakfast (motherboard toast???)
Gonna replace entire system, except for drives A-E, double processor
speed, stuff like dat.

hmmm sounds like you had a bad surge protector, next time try three or four
in a series THAT might help, I had a set up similar to that till a power
spike melted five of them damaged the sixth and was finally stopped by the
seventh(and last) and that was just the ones for my modem ;)
