When I open AW to work offline my dialup box for MSN hops on top of the AW
window. No matter what I do, choose cancel repeatedly or hit the upper
right x it is back. Just when I think I closed it and start manuvering it
appears again. I asked microsoft about this and they felt it wasn't their
problem. Any ideas on how to correct this?

I *think* you can fix this by doing the following...

In Control Panel there is an icon called Internet Options... open that and
click on the "Connections" tab. In the window that appears you will find
"Dial-up settings". For each of those connections click on each and select
below "Never dial a connection".

I think there is also a setting in MSIE which you set to automatiucally
launch your dial-up connection as soon as you open it. I didn't look for
it coz I think the above should fix your problem.

When I'm doing this, I *don't* cancel the dial-up box. Instead, I
click somewhere in Active Worlds. Result: the dial up box sits there
behind AW while I do whatever I'm doing, and doesn't bother me.
