just make a html file

put /field/ in the file for things you want replaced, save as a .php

now.. goto www.myaddy.com/filename.php?field=Abc

it'll show up.. have fun!

Why is Activeworlds.php a PHP file when it contains *no* PHP syntax?

PHP is executed on the server, not on the client. The output
of PHP can be plain HTML, JavaScript, JPG, PNG or whatever.

You will never see any PHP code on a good PHP web page, if
the web server is installed correct.
