It looks to me like a video card problem. Try switching to another video
card if you can. --Bowen-- [View Quote] brockJul 13, 2002, 3:56pm

"switch" brockJul 13, 2002, 3:57pm

Odd Discovery:
It only happens in Direct 3d 8 it's normal in direct 3d 7, open gl, and software render. billybobJul 16, 2002, 1:00am
Yea, heh, don't switch vid cards, One because the only thing better then a
GeForce 4 MX for 3D games is the GeForce 4 Ti 4600, and Two because DirectX 8 on AW is just REALLY buggy, I've gotten bizzare things with it too. bowenJul 16, 2002, 1:09am
I didn't say switch the video cards permanently. I just said put in another
video card to test it. If it's the same effect, it's a video card's problem. Since I don't experience it, the only thing it _can_ be is a video card problem. There's nothing the programmers can do short of springing up money to buy you all new cards. --Bowen-- [View Quote] brockJul 16, 2002, 1:47pm
I tried switching between a riva tnt2, works normal on the riva, but i've
also had many people tgram me and say they experience the same problem, when i ask them what video cards they have it's always GeForce 4 ranging from MX to Ti heh bowenJul 16, 2002, 2:06pm
It's got to be the way they implement DirectX 8.1. Perhaps the older
drivers aren't as supportive of it, most likely not all of you have upgraded to the new ones that do support DX8. --Bowen-- [View Quote] brockJul 16, 2002, 2:35pm
Yeah but things are normal in the following:
Direct3D 7 OpenGL Software Render Not Normal In: Direct3D 8 |
