I see Mod got a lot of posting for his actions
Being one of the worlds exposed all I can say is I
came out of it a stronger person and knowing that,

What Goes Around Comes Around

I thank you for your apology
ZippyK

I also want to thank you all for the help on how to better secure my object
path.

Just curious to know...

What did you do to secure your OP? How was it insecure earlier?

Just don't password objects that are freely downloadable from elsewhere and
you should be fine for now. I don't know why... Andras explained it farther
down.

If I got this right, and I believe I have, the file within a zip is what
determines the password encryption. Therefore, if someone can get the file
of what is inside the zip file, he can figure out what the encryption style
is using a certain program and be able to decrypt the zip file.

Sorry if that sounded confusing :-P Not that it really matters that much,
but SW is right, don't password objects that are freely downloadable
anywhere else, or you password may easily be found out.

the way it works is quite simple if you have a file say wall.rwx and zip
it to wall.zip not passwording the file then someone else gets the exact
same file wall.rwx and then zips it and adds a password no matter how
long or complex it is if a person has the non passworded wall.zip and the
passworded wall.zip a password cracker compares the two and can work
out the password in seconds and thus have the password to all objects on
a object path as they all use the same object.

By only having all custom objects / avatars that are zipped its harder for
someone to crack the password as they have no common unpassworded
file to compare with.

The main aim is like with cars, don't make it easy for someone to feel you
are an easy target instead show them you have thought about securing
your possessions and most will just walk on by to find a easy target.
