AW Servers was down? (General Discussion)
AW Servers was down? // General Discussion

At around 9:00 VRT today the AW server
suddenly seamed to be dowm, had to
reconnect to the Universe, and then when
i finally got back to AW bots in aw where down
(CA, AW GameBot., Blimp, PK Bot..)
Also worlds where down to 750 worlds,
and 69 user in 39 worlds were back when
i entered. Donno what happend.. nothing
said on the Network Status page at aw.com :

I just tried to connect and was unable to. The network status page still
hasn't changed.
It's 5:55AM in Seattle, where I think I remember Roland saying AW's servers
are housed. The people there are probably sleeping and don't know that
anything's wrong.

no point looking at that status page, if you look in the source, there's a
nice little javascript that prints out today's date...

oh come on....do you really need to announce this? im sure everyone on at
that time knew about it and theres nothing we can do abotu it, it happens.
so just wait until its back on then get alogn with your business

I keep telling AWC to stop hosting on AOL.
The server is probably overloaded since the 1000+ new spam worlds.

mmm... Cozmo has a point. :) No point in announcing a server outage if it
was fixed by the time you announced it.
BTW, KAH, I was in your town last night, hoping to take a bot tour. I must
have missed it. Anyways, happy anniversary. :) Its a nice town, from
what I've seen of it.

oh, I live in Norway, and logged out everything something about 1AM CET, too
bad you didn't make it :-(( but I can promise many more tours, and they
probably will be better, as I'm not completely done writing the bot (on
completion I will release it to the public, so everyone can have an easy way
of conducting tours, including the regular interval feature I used during
the anniversary) :-))
