Bring back docked tabs window! (Wishlist)
Bring back docked tabs window! // Wishlistcaptain mad mikeFeb 23, 2005, 8:58pm
One of the biggest quirks I've had with AW's new GUI is the tabs window. I
hate having to either block out parts of the view/chat windows to have my tabs open, or have the web window open on the side so the tabs won't block anything. Can we please at least get an OPTION to have the older GUI where tabs were built-in and not a seperate, floating window? -CMM lady nighthawkFeb 23, 2005, 9:06pm
I have my tabs window the full length of my screen and to the left of my
main aw browser window. I leave it open all the time and were it not for it being an actual window of it's own it pretty much looks like it use to as far as where it *sits*. It's also the full height of my browser and about 1-1/2" wide, the browser window takes up the remainder of my desktop view to the right of the tabs window. I don't use aw's built in web browser cause I don't like how it takes away from my view screen so I view webpages outside of aw. Perhaps instead of treating it like a separate window ... set it up so that it is close to what it looked like before like I've done? LNH -- [View Quote] sweFeb 24, 2005, 6:27pm
if you do that(acting as if the dock isn't a seperate window), then when
turning, you don't actually turn at the center of whats left of the 3d window, so it looks wierd. and, certain objects you should see, which are hidden, so can feel irritating too, so i'm guessing, when building, and exploring, it could be quite irritating. -SWE [View Quote] captain mad mikeFeb 25, 2005, 2:29am
Yeah, that and somehow when a window isn't maximized I always close the one
behind it when I click in the upper right corner of my screen... I just don't see how it could be too difficult to add a checkbox in the options that just makes the tabs part of the browser window again, instead of a seperate window. -CMM [View Quote] ewasxFeb 26, 2005, 2:02am
I totally agree with you guys. It's the number one annoying thing about the
new version 3.6 browser! Let us "anchor" the docking feature, please! E [View Quote] highflierMar 21, 2005, 2:32am
But it is kinda nice to move it where you want also and being able to make
it the shape you want it. I suppose sonetimes it's anoying though. I guess if you think about it...it's just another thing to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe having it it the same place all the time is better and less fuss. I feel however that the Object Properties box always covering the object your working with is far more frustrating. It seems to me that you used to be able make it stay in the same place all the time even after you left AW and came back. steve eApr 6, 2005, 10:56am
Yes we need this back, if people want it still it should be an option..
It's quite annoying. -Steve e [View Quote] |
