Folders in the Teleports List (Wishlist)
Folders in the Teleports List // Wishlist
Jan 5, 2005, 5:45pm
My Teleports list is really huge now. It would be nice if I could right
click in the Teleports List and choose "New Folder" and make a folder for
certain places. For example, a folder for all the teleports built by a
specific person. Or a folder for places from a specific city, etc. And let
us name it any name we wish.

This has been asked for I don't know how many times. How hard can it
possibly be to implement?

I have my Tports sorted. : )
Assign each group a number, i.e. 1 My builds, 2 OY, 3 Cities, 4 friends
builds.
Then each Tport within a certain group gets assignerd that number first in
it's name. Several spaces between the number and the Tport *folder* name
puts it at the top of each group. For example...
1 My builds
1 unknown zone
1near GZ
1next to John doe
1the pond
2 OYs
2 NW Builders
2megapath
2sirQis
They will be put in alphabitical order unless you have a space or 2 between
number and name to raise it up in importance.
Pick a random Tport spot for the name of each "folder" and just rename it.

That's nice and dandy but this is a feature that should have been
implemented when tports were originally put in. It is not something that is
hard to code at all.

You're obviously not doing something right then.

Probably, i need an operations per line counter, as its pretty heavily
commented in some parts. Would probably only end up at about 11,000 with
comments stripped.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have something even better, I catagorize
them all by the person who built the places, for example: Ken's ........ But
still, it is very hard to go down a huge list. A nice catagorized folders
list would be perfect.
