I wish there was a way to make the water not vanish when you select an
object or the terrain.
I don't like guessing where the waters surface is at when I want to put
something on the water like a boat.
Some may like the water vanishing and some may not.
So maybe just make it a user controlled setting in the browser options.
Ex.
Water vanish when selecting objects yes or no.

That would be a nice option. An alternative, might be to have the water converted to a wireframe mesh while objects are selected, so that you can see where it is without it getting in the way.
