- The underside (invisible) area of 3D terrain has collision when you
approach it forward. When going backwards into the underside of the
terrain back to the surface, there is no collision.

yup u r right. i had a bat with flapping wings and made a flock of them
flying in beta and it worked. I can no longer get it to work here. i see one
bat fly then dissappear and nothing more.

ahh
I modeled a new dell monitor with png textures and i have found two
annoying bugs:

- For textures, if there is no extension defined in the RWX script
("texture delldisp" instead of "texture delldisp.png") the browser will
only look for the jpg version of the name (for "texture delldisp", it
would try and download delldisp.jpg). It should look for other file
formats with the same filename and try to load them.

- PNG implementation is ugly! The colors are reduced to just 16, ahh at
how ugly my monitor looks. Try object gndellmon1 in a MODEL type emitter
to confirm.
