LOL...go get some rest and thanks tons!!!
I went to smarthinking.com to ask a tutor for the equation and unfortunately neither the algebra or statistics tutors could help me. You ought to apply there for a job! But I think their site is outsourced and you might need to speak another language, or 3:) This really helps tons! Thanks again:) Bit [View Quote] 50. p = 1/I => 0. 1 / 50 => P = 0.02 100. p(x) = (1-I)^x => (1-1/50)^10 => 1 - 0.817 => 0.18 (18%) 1000. p(x) = (1-I)^x => (1 - 1/1000)^50 => 0.048 (4.8%) 10000. p = 1/I => p = 1 / 10000 => p = 0.0001 => p = 0.01% No guarantees, i'm sleepy -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." I suspect there is a problem with the 100 one, just noticed it.

Well, I emailed my instructor and let him know that I would be doing that
assignment tomorrow morning. When I get back to that page it kicks up an error message on the ones that are wrong. I'll post the results after I get that done. I can't believe someone is paying tutors that can't tute!...lol Anyways, I really do appreciate the help. I took first year math last term, but it didn't cover anything like what was needed here. Over summer I need to practice on math because this degree requires that I go all the way to calculus...yikes! [View Quote] kennethApr 9, 2006, 11:50pm
I never took Geometry and I only know up to Algebra (forgot tons), so by
logic (LOL), I would think those 6 areas are 6 decades of that month's average rainfall. Then you take the highest average and make that your emergency flood possibility. -Kenneth [View Quote] |
