Hello everyone,

Just a heads up so that everyone isn't wondering why later -- I'm sorry
to say that due to a lack in entries, we simply cannot continue with the
contest this summer. We had a total of only a few entries that barely
covered the prizes for this contest and it would not have played out
well or very fairly at all. Since the previous building contests have
usually had about 13-14 contestants apply each time, I feel that this
decrease in entries was simply due to bad timing. There are several
events taking place at the moment and not to mention the reunion in
August, a lot of people are busy with all of those things and the
contest was just caught up in the middle of it all.

There will still be building contests taking place in the future at the
normal dates listed on the schedule at
http://www.awcommunity.org/awu/awunivab/ and the winter contest in
January will still take place for those interested, however, we simply
just do not have enough entries for this contest.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to the few
applicants that did apply and can assure those that they will be able to
apply for the January contest.

There will be more information about that specific contest closer to
January, and I will be sure to post information in the newsgroups and
have ads posted in AWGate and AW.

But still... the theme of the contest I took interest in, as well as others,
so maybe we can still hold it somewhere, without prizes? All we need is a
good AWTeen mayor ~cough~ hyper anthony =P
