Mark, first of all you only have two people here disagreeing with you
ORB and Sharon are the same person. You are right AW is part of the
real world. The cartoon of a load xxxx being dropped down the
chimney by Santa as I said before is bad taste. Did you ever stop to
think that is just what a lot people get for Christmas? No they don't
even get that. Christmas should be a happy time, a uplifting time but
for some children it means another time when someone over looks them
and gets drunk. Maybe you do just you think it is funny. Maybe a
mother get phone call to find her child was killed in a car wreck.
Maybe 50,000 people or more will die on Christmas day. You see " xxxx
does happen" and you don't have to bad for it happen to you. I guess
Norman Rockwell familes exist but for some of us they just never did.
Is wrong to want protect people feeling? Will that cartoon destory a
young child well being forever ? No, most likely not but it is in bad
taste.
In a real place (The Gate) and yes many of us do pay to be there, you
can not speak of Christ but you can mock the the day set aside to
thank God for his kindness. Will my world fade because of some bad
taste joke? NO, not all it just makes me feel sorry for those who find
it funny. What hurts me and destoys me inside sometimes is why
everyday isn't Christmas in the hearts of people. Let us not ask for
justice let us ask for mercy in this hoilday season. You see sometimes we
do get just what we ask for.

To all the people no matter what God you serve , Like Dylan says "you
got serve someone " please have a happy heart in this holiday time.

Yes... After spending several hundred on peoples presents I did think of

Mmmm alcohol... I did'nt get too drunk this christmas, saving it for

Will that cartoon represent a strong political statement about the need to
stop dangerous criminals from breaking into our homes each year down our
chimbneys?... No, I did'nt think so either.

My dear, if heaven and hell do exist then I have absolutly no doubt I will

and.... to the best of my memory (had 3 years of spanish classes in high
school)...... the word "perra" simply means dog. Not to be confused with
"pera" which means "but". Although there IS a high probability the word
"perra" means something completely different in another language. Has anyone
bothered asking him what made him select that name with that spelling? I
doubt it. ;-") Just as I'm positive he didn't realize how offensive
that url might have been to some people.

Are we so shallow as to judge others based on the innocent mistakes they
make? In that case, I'm sure I am doomed since I make plenty of them
myself. And if we are judging others by innocent mistakes, what does that
make us as a community? I'm sure if Perra was someone who reads the
newsgroups (not many do) he would apologize and would probably be VERY upset
by what others are saying about him behind his back.

I've known Perra for 5 years now. He is NOT the kind of person who goes out
of his way to post offensive material like some others I've met. Nor would
he choose a name for himself that would be deliberately offensive. Unlike
some people here, in these ngs, who I've seen do some pretty mean things to
people either in chat or posting here.

Not mentioning any names or pointing fingers but you all know if you did
something deliberately mean or nasty to someone or made a simple mistake
that was not recieved well by someone else and was judged harshly. Please
remember what that felt like before you go saying things like this about
someone who isn't here to defend themself. If we HAVE to comment on other's
actions, let's please keep it in whispers and grams, instead of smearing
their reputation in the public ngs behind their backs. How embarrassing for
that person!

I mean jeeeeeeez........ how many of the Gor people also built religious
things within the Gor worlds over the holidays??? I am just guessing, of
course, that someone out there did something like that... I'm sure somebody
would have done something as thoughtless as that. And yet I don't see anyone
complaining about it here in a public forum. (Go ahead and flame me... I
don't care)

Sorry CP....... I wasn't directing all of this to you specifically. It was
intended for some of the others who either started this thread or agreed
with it. However I do recall when you first started in AW as a tourist and
some of the antics you did back then were pretty annoying, to say the least.
But nobody singled you out to complain about how you acted.... in the
newsgroups.
