I'm not really this stoopid. I'm just testing you guys. NOT! lol. Ok here it
is. MY cursor keeps freezing up. i have tried pushing everything but the dog and I cant get it to unfreeze. Only way is to hit the reset button on my puter, then it works again. this has happened to me twice in 2 days. Its a labtec and has a wheel. that's all i know about it. Could it be my mouse is just wore out? And I dont even have a cat to chase it! LOL :) when im in aw I cant even close the aw window with it.i hit esc. but that doesnt close the window. and i cant shut off my puter properly to reboot. builderzAug 28, 2004, 10:39pm
As far as shutting down programs goes, try pressing Alt + F4 at the same
time to close the current window/program. You can get to the Start menu if your keyboard has a key with the Windows logo on it (on my keyboard, it is near the left Alt key). From there, you can safely shut down your computer using the keyboard. Builderz strike rapierAug 28, 2004, 11:03pm
Shut Window - Alt + F4
Task Mgr - Ctrl + Alt + Del (should be able to kill anything causing a freeze) Reset (some OS): Ctrl + Alt + Del (x2) Shutdown (xp): Start, up, retur, right, return Mother of them all: Cmd > shutdown -r Just one thing... is your mouse PS2 or USB? I noticed this happened to *counts the dead mice on my floor* 3 PS2 mice so now im using a optical USB. - MR [View Quote] ewasxAug 28, 2004, 11:10pm
Hi Ciena,
Those symptoms are the same ones that I and my partner have experienced in the past year or so and we both discovered that changing out the hardware mouse fixed the problem. Ya gotta spare mouse you can try? : ) ~Ewasx~ [View Quote] cienaAug 29, 2004, 12:46am

Another person I know is having the same issue. She says it only happens to
her in my world tho LOL. Not sure what is causing it but seems no one has suggested the recent upgrade ... perhaps there's a bug to be nailed there somewhere??? LNH -- [View Quote] pc hamsterAug 30, 2004, 3:25am
