Will there be a special teleport area that will take us to the various
nominated sites such as the area we had last time?

At this point no.
All voting will be done via the web page .
Last year we had many complaints that some of the teleports were incorrect
or not corrected, and had tried desperately to make them correct.
It's like the more times you write something the more risk of errors.
Anyways, if anyone is interested in building a teleport station for
everyone, they are more than welcome to, but if there are any errors, folks
need to please contact the person(s) that built it. (Maybe a contact
information sign at it?)
Great idea, but too much additional work for the team at this point, sorry:(

Well, then, could you make the addresses on the Cyawards Nomination Page
clickable? It really is quite a bother to copy down some of those
addresses. I don't think you can even copy and paste them! If we could
only click on a nominee on the www page and be transported to that site, it
would make things so much easier and encourage so many others to vote. As
it is now, after a few explorations, one gets discouraged.

P.S. I've noticed that the teleport builds for last time (actually 2 or 3
versions!!) are still standing. Couldn't one of those be adapted to this
year's list? The layout, walls, even signs are still there. I would be
glad to HELP changing those signs to the current nominees' addressses and
make them teleportable--if possible.

I have a day and a half to open the votes up.
Right now all I have to do is upload the page.
I'm afraid that time just doesn't allow me to do anymore along with IRL
needs, and that which still needs to be completed in the cy world
(bathrooms....lol).
If someone wanted to copy that build with a bot and place it somewhere and
change the signs that would be fine, but I really really don't have time to
oversee it:(
Or if someone wanted to make a webpage from the existing one that a person
can copy and paste from I could link to it, but IF someone did that they
would need to be the contact in case there was an error on it.
And the person making that page would also need to take on the
responsibility of doing PR for any errors.
I really think at this point it is too late to make something. Too many
risks of errors, and that could be unfair to someone or some people
depending on how many errors occured if any. As it is, I spent 2 weeks
correcting errors that were made in the nomination process and errors I had
made.
Unless we could offer the page or teleport location to be proofed again for
2 weeks, I don't feel comfortable with it.
Maybe next year we can plan and impliment those ideas?

Errrr....... can I ask a dumb question here? Why are you wasting your
valuable time and energy in making bathrooms for the Cyawards when nobody
will be using them? Its not like more than one person will be going in
there anyway and even if someone DOES think of going into one of the
bathrooms, it's not like they'll mention how pretty it is or how clever. I
mean how many unique bathrooms have you seen in AW??? And why take up cell
space with building one, when the avs can't even sit on the toilet or lay
int he tub?? 0_0

Well...they can sit...lol
And no baths...just restrooms.
As for needing them?...Hey....trying to be as realistic as possible on this
world!:)
Actually the restrooms went pretty fast.
Now what I have left to do is;
1.Find and design a guestbook to fit the needs.
2.Finish the Star Room
3.Do some more planting around the gardens

THEN comes the big stuff!
Voting...yayyyyy!

1.I receive a mozilla.dat form via email.

I take that from each email and organize all them in an excel file (Oops...I
need to get the excell spreadsheet ready...yikes!)
The excel file has columns for such things as email addys, ip addys,
categories, vote, etc etc.

I probably receive about 300 emails that look that way...lol!
After the voting closes, I then sort each column and study for dupes.
If I find dupes I email the voter and make inquiries.
I also get corrections during the voting period.
After that I start talleying all the votes per category....whew!

Now ...one would think that my job is done after that...NOT!:)
After voting is all tallied....The process begins of communicating with team
members to make sure all is on schedule, and final touches done.
Then of course there is the media communications...Thanks to Weizer that's a
bit lesser job now:)

Finally.....I have my speech to write and the lineup (which loves to change
in the middle of the ceremony...hehehehe:)

Now...what was the question?...Oh...why am I wasting my time making
restrooms:)
Well....that's my relaxation actually...compared to all the rest that needs
done:)
Did I mention all the grams that come in hourly?:)
LOL...well....yep....bathrooms are a very needed thing...at least in my
book:)

I'm sorry, Bit! I didn't stop to think about all that it would entail at
this late date making such a change! You have done marvelously and brought
back the Cyawards just when it was needed the most.

Perhaps next year we could do something else as you suggested. But,
meanwhile, let's all get out there and see some of those wondrous nominees,
then. . . vote, Vote, VOTE!!!!!!!
