Reward System. // CommunityferruccioApr 2, 2004, 4:53am
AWI should impliment a reward system for those who get other people to
subscribe to Active Worlds. A certain amount of money could be discounted from the yearly/monthly rate depending on how many citizens you get to subscribe to Active Worlds, maybe even a free year if you get over a certain number of people to subscribe. It would encourage people to advertise Active Worlds, and possibly increase the number of citizens immigrating. imagineApr 2, 2004, 5:27am
I agree. And they should do it retroactively. Cause I would get a free life
time on my cit or world renewal for all the people I have already talked into signing up lol Take up a petition to send to AWI about it and i'll sign it :) Imagine [View Quote] qrvncasey oApr 2, 2004, 1:59pm
That is a good idea, considering Blu, Casey and myself have bought many
citizen accounts and given them out. The way AWI looks at it, it is to benefit us and not them as you're going to bring your friends in to AW regardless of whether they give a discount. QRVnCasey o [View Quote] johnfApr 2, 2004, 4:02pm

In marketing terminology, this would be called either a one-tier or
two-tier affiliate system. All AWI would need to do is go to some big affiliate place like Commission Junction (http://www.cj.com) and they would handle most of it for them. Citizens would sign up there and get an account and a special link with their own affiliate ID. Anyone that clicks or goes to that link with your special ID and buys a citizenship or world, you'd make either a one-time or monthly commission. Common sense would say Rick would go along with it (since AWI would make more money), but you never know. not to keep dropping the name AWPromo but.........
if you get a person to buy a cit in aw awpromo has a monetary point system using VRC(Virtual Reality Credits) or Creds, also notified by ¤, you will get something like 500 ¤ for each cit that openly says you got them to join. after you gain X amount of ¤ you can choose a prize from our list. Most people do not come to Active Worlds in search of playmoney. They would
love, though, to be able to get some real money discounts for helping make AW a more enjoyable place. c pApr 3, 2004, 7:56pm
that was the point fer, this money goes toward cit extensions, and free
cits, worlds, Homepages, avatars, objects and more, I am currently asking object makers and sellers if they would consider joining in on the program and accept this "money" as currency... [View Quote] imagineApr 3, 2004, 11:21pm
Who is paying for the cit extentions and free cits and such? Is AWI
sponsering your project? Imagine [View Quote] c pApr 4, 2004, 4:30am
I have spoken with Mountain Mist, and she liked the project, then she
stopped responding. I also have been speaking with other people with awi projects such as Alphabit Phalpha who likes the idea, and told me what to ask awi for :-) (god bless her for giving me courage to run this) and as iv said if I get free time I can plop some of my letters in the mail box and out they will go to major gaming magazines across the world! yeah it will be tourist day or week or month, but some will be great people, who will buy cits, and become a part of this community. Yes, Mountain Myst has stopped responding ... I sure hope she's OK as this
has not been within her character. I've emailed support at and grammed MM to no avail ... no reply, which is extremely odd for her ... she's usually very fast to get back to me! MM if yer out there, let us know you're OK!? LNH [View Quote] |
