Alrighty then, here is my little disposition on complaining. I am purely
anti-complainers... you see, here is my thoughts. Anyone can complain their
little hearts out. I can do it, you can do it, anyone can. However,
complaining, fighting, all of that doesn't solve a single thing, just gets
on people's nerves. There is a line between voicing an opinion and
complaining... for instance, you only need to voice your opinion once, you
don't have to defend it, because it's your opinion. If someone attacks your
opinion, so what? Of course, then the problem comes with our pride, not
wanting ourselves to look "wrong" or "bad", heh. If people attack this post,
for instance, I'm not going to give a care, because it's my opinion :-) but,
if I posted this type of post over and over again, it would get redundant,
and I would simply be complaining about complaining :D

but yeah... my opinion is that it is pointless to complain. I mean, come on,
what good is it doing other than making people annoyed, and stressing
everyone out? I respect people's opinions, but when opinions turn to
complaining, it gets old real fast.

Another thing, is that it's my experience that nothing gets solved by
complaining, it generally only makes things worse. The best way to solve
things is not to complain, in my opinion, but is to get involved in the
community, and try to fix it in whatever way you can... For instance,
getting involved with a community organization like AWEC, or a world like
AWTeen. Or :P if the complaints are about the PK's or GK's, why not get
involved with them? and slowly try to change perceptions and behaviors, at
least in yourself as a GK or PK, so that you can help those organizations
get better.

With tourist access, I can see why voicing opinions can be important in
getting it fixed, my opinion is that they should be allowed in AW, however,
stating it over and over again gets old. Instead, why not concentrate on a
plan which could help AW afford to let tourist have full access again? We
could collaborate on a marketing plan, for instance.

There are so many different ways in which we can help the community we live
in, and in my opinion, that doesn't include complaining :-)

These are good thoughts, but there have been instances of unfair and unjust
situations regarding some AW organizations. It is hard to get involved in
change when your application isn't considered. It begins with calling these
types of unfair practices to the attention of community.

Hi The Lady:)

I'm maybe going to open a can of worms here, but I would like to share
something with you and the CommunitY:)
In the beginning when I started opening up the Cys to teams, one of the
criteria I looked at when a person wanted to join, was their reputation with
AWI Corp. and the CommunitY.
Why?
Because AWI Corp is the main Sponsor of the Cys, and just like IRL, how
would it look to have an organization with members who boycott or protest
against the main Sponsor?
Yes I truly believe in freedom of speech, but I also realize reality
when it comes to professionalism.

I hope this will be food for thought for anyone who looks into joining any
of the Community support groups.

Bit:)

It's ok to open the can.

I'm quite aware of and am reminded frequently at AWGate of what my
reputation is in AW. I know it is not considered to be pure, decent, moral
or good.

I am genuinely interested in being a part of an organization in AW. At the
gate or in AWHS or somewhere. I try to do the best work I can, I try to get
along with everyone, I try to do as I am told to the best of my ability. If
professionalism counts, so be it. But keep in mind nobody is perfect.
Things happen online and in real life that affect the way each person acts
and performs in the community. Sometimes those inflictions are not voiced,
sometimes they are, depending upon the individual. But to treat that person
differently through the application process in any AW organization because
they are not what most consider the "norm" is unfair and is a practice that
needs to be reviewed with open minds and changed. The first thing
leadership should look at regarding an individual wanting to contribute to
an AW organization is what gifts and/or strengths does that individual bring
to AW and what team of people would he/she best work with. Each individual
can contribute here in some way, regardless of their background or problems,
and they needn't be given the master controls in order to do that. Everyone
that wants to take part in an organization should be able to do so, even if
it's keeping a log record..

I have been molded by some very different experiences. It's had its
advantages and disadvantages.

I bought a new bible two weeks ago and it had this quote in the margin of
one of the pages and I hold it dear to my heart because of instances such as
the one I am responding to now. It is as follows:

Let us look at our own shortcomings and leave other people's alone; for
those who live carefully ordered lives are apt to be shocked at everything
and we might well learn very important lessons from the persons who shock
us. Our outward comportment and behavior may be better than theirs, but
this, though good, is not the most important thing; there is no reason why
we should expect everyone else to travel by our own road.

First of all...the can of worms had nothing to do with you...it had to do
with the Cys and Adult themed worlds.

> I'm quite aware of and am reminded frequently at AWGate of what my

How the heck can you say you are not any of the above?????

As far as your behavior at the gate....I have never been privy to your
conversations, but if you attempt to do anything that could possible cause
folks not to want to stay in AW, then it is not hurting the company...it is
hurting the CommunitY and the possible new Customer.

Oh I definately know how IRL can effect VR...trust me...or ask the
PK's...lol

I don't know about other organizations, but norm or not...all are treated
equally and considered equally in the Cy process.

The first thing
> leadership should look at regarding an individual wanting to contribute to

I will have to disagree with you on the above. I'll refer you to my previous
post regarding what is considered for Cy volunteers.

Each individual
> can contribute here in some way, regardless of their background or
problems,

I can agree with you on the above.

Everyone
> that wants to take part in an organization should be able to do so, even

I have to disagree with you there.

have posted in here in the past.

You don't seen to leave any ones shortconings alone

everything<<

You seem to be shoked at every thing in AW. I wonder how carefully ordered
your life is.

us.<<

The people here in the News Groups have been trying to teach you something
aobut how to conduct yourself in a news group. You don't seem to be able to
learn.

this, though good, is not the most important thing; there is no reason why
we should expect everyone else to travel by our own road.<<

That is true. So why are you trying to drag every one in the news groups and
aw down YOUR road, when we have been trying to tell you we don't want to
go?????
