I wonder if the Council of Better Business Bureaus will take it up in
addition to Berkins' local chapter. BBB is NOT a government organization, therefore Berkins doesn't have to do what they say. They can just make his life a living hell. You might do better to lodge a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Chris [View Quote] alphabit phalphaSep 20, 2002, 4:01pm
Well...if anyone checks the BBB before using a company at least there would
be some record there. And yes...the FTC is on my list also. Thanks SW Chris:) [View Quote] Chris [View Quote] alphabit phalphaSep 20, 2002, 4:01pm

Goober king, sorry this has happened to you. I wish I could help you in
some way. Sounds like a completely ridiculous asking price for a name. [View Quote] alphabit phalphaSep 21, 2002, 2:29pm

They grabbed a domain name that should have sold for 35.00, offered it for 1,250.00 then after being contacted for a pleading to release it for the normal costs, upped the price to 10,000.00. They also accused me of requesting people spam them. This domain name (awnews.com) was owned by a non commercial user, and was an intergal part of a chat community. I have found several instances of Michael Berkens grabbing domain names and doing the same thing then "donating" them to the original owners at the 10 grand. I feel they acted in retaliatory measures and have also accused my character of something it is not. Please help us out. Sincerely, Beverly Tuttle alphabit phalphaSep 21, 2002, 2:49pm
