.... that the new payment plan is only for *NEW* citizenships? You can
still renew you existing citizenship at the same $20/year fee. I just
renewed my citizenship and tacked on another year to it for $20! Now I
don't have to renew again until April 2003! :) And those of you who
don't have to renew until Sept or later will wind up getting almost 2
years out of the deal!

So act fast, before February rolls around and AWC changes everything
completely! No need to panic and head for the hills yet!

[View Quote] Well, How do you go about doing this, is there a page somewhere to do this?

Shit! I must have just gotten in under the gun, because their
Citizenship page is all covered with the new pricing plan, and there's
no mention of renewal whatsoever! This is it then, the moment of truth...

you can renew now for $20 (if it expires in january) and take the free ride
until next year, by then they would probably see their flaws

I'd say that that was a good idea, except I can't support Goober on this
one. Obviously, AW is in an extremely dire financial situation, so who
knows if AW will even be around in late 2003 for you to stock up on
citizenships now? You could be risking losing the money you spend now if AW
fails between now and your citizenship expiration date....

id rather pay a measly $20 now (compared to $10 a month later on) to have at
least till the fall of this year to use AW. If it doesnt work out after then
then i wont feel like my money was worthless, i have a lot of friends on AW.

Plus im not stockign up. Its just one.

[View Quote] Doesn't matter, some how I accidently managed to bring up the renew button
up through teleporting back and forward multiple time between various
worlds, took the opportunity to renew and tacked another year on, so now it
doesn't expire until the 8th September next year (2003). (Don't ask me how I
did it, because I don't know)

Should be enough to ride out the initial rough period and/or until AW
utimately *gulps* dies. Yes I know I'm risking it and I'm probably a fool.
However it's sort of close to the time that I would be renewing anyway, if I
didn't pick up a cit extensions along the way.
