Hours of searching turned up the following links. Active Worlds is never
mention directly. The articles only refer to the alleged serial killer,
John Edward Robinson Sr, as having met women online then meeting them in
real life for sadomasochistic sex, that he frequented online chat rooms,
that his online name was Slavemaster and that he sometimes went by a alias
of James Turner.

The following link has several other links to stories written in the Kansas
City Star about Robinson and the current case against him. I think I've put
the most important information here in this post but if you want to see for
yourself follow the links. I warn you that it's a horrifying, unsettling,
and disgusting read. But it is a wake up call to be extremely careful who
you trust and how much information you give out to people online.
