TheWickedWitchOfTheWeb: I love playing with ClothMotion. That anim rocks!!

Thanks! Yeah, it's impressive how cool of a plugin ClothMotion is - especially for such a low price.

parva: I'm still amazed by your camera tracking It looks like... living live

Thanks a lot, Parva! I enjoy putting the camera movement in, after all the characters/objects, etc. are animated. It adds some liveliness to it, I think.

I appreciate the comments, guys!

Speaking of cloth motion, is there any tutorials for cloth motion? I'm talking all of what cloth motion can do! :confused:

Awesome in every aspect. The camera movement really adds a lot to the scene.

Thank you, Graysho! Much appreciated!

Thanks, Noko! Currently I'm in the planning stage on a complicated character animation piece that I hope to submit in a month or so to the gallery. No caustics involved in this one, but I may do some more "jelly" renders eventually. They are a lot of fun.

...oh, and I just purchased Richard Rosenman's DOF Pro 2 (http://www.richardrosenman.com/dofpro.htm) which is SUPER. It looks really cool on some of the caustics footage.

Well, I gave it a try and I didn't quite get as nice an effect as Frank but then I've never used clothmotion before either :)

Just a couple of "jello" gems falling. I probably should've quad divided them a bit more and the high refraction index combined with subtle latent motion was doing strange things for the internal reflections.

Fun though... I found that calculating photons for caustics seemed to be the largest contributor to render times whereas the global illumination was minor in comparison... at least at my settings.

factor = 100

photons = 8000

Probably overkill... took a little over 30 hours to render 360 frames.

Wow - very cool!

The one that got my attention the most was the green one on the right. The shards of light cast onto the floor and converging when the thing hit - that looked really cool.

You are right about GI vs. Caustics. I find that GI is very fast compared to caustics (with decent settings). The View Distance parameter has a lot to do with render times, I find.
