'The sea is everything. It covers seven tenths of the terrestrial globe. It's breath is pure and healthy. It is an immense desert, where man is never lonely, for he feels life stirring on all sides.' ---Jules Verne
" A League of There Own"....
I'm still trying to fathom where I'm going with this, as the idea just swam across my mind within the past hour. Time will tell !

OK. Show me the fish of...Atlantide! :)
Interesting... this could be a very deep scene :)
I had originally planned to put my Nautilus above the surface surrounded by water, rocks, cliffs, maybe a waterfall and an attacking octopus, because it would have been easier for me to create (I think ?)! But now I've decided to make an underwater scene....who knows, maybe I'll do the other scene a few leagues later ! Right now, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to create my scene and still show the details of the Nautilus and the creature I'm working on in such a small space !;)
Since I've finished my Nautilus, I'll go ahead and show a better close up of that now !...

So thats what happens if you flush a goldfish into the NY sewers? Along with giant alligators (or is it crocodiles). Oh my!
Looking good!

Funny stuff !! You'll have me watching the sewers when I go to New York in a few weeks ! You've now prompted me to give her a name. Considering that she kind of resembles a tadpole with an attitude, I decided to name her after how I feel sometimes.... 'A-Tad-Sore' :D |

You never know: Maybe the fish goes home and lies about the size of the man he got away from !

Your model is missing some things....
It has feet to help the tail swim, but it is missing a dorsal and pectoral fins. Other than that, it's an amazing critter. |

...it is missing a dorsal and pectoral fins.
She's still evolving !! I thought about adding those and some arms also, but I left it as is for now. I doubt that I'll improve her for this scene, but she may evolve into a creature with backbone and movements to be unleashed against the "Birds of a Feather" !!!:) |

Mr 3D the fish looks neat..but there is something weird about the legs. Something is just not right about them. They seem to be backwards. |

My initial experience with trueSpace 7.6 couldn't be explained much better than this excerpt quoted from Jules Verne in his classic story of "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea".....
"A strange twilight world opened up before me, and I felt as the first man to set foot on another planet, an intruder in this mystic garden of the deep."

Your shark boat looks a little like the shark boat in the AndreIa episode of ReBoot. ^_^ I like it.
Edit: On second thought, maybe not. ^^; I still like it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUJGidF2rDw at about 1:50 you can see the boat I'm talking about) |

Thanks Marie !!!.....I guess it's the open front (and maybe tail fin) that reminded you of that. My thinking was more on the lines of ballast and water jet propulsion (like an underwater jetski), instead of firepower ?! |

Yeah, the first thing I thought when I saw yours was "I recognize that mouth". Your description makes sense to me ^_^ though the TV show had the design for the purpose of a 'game', so ^_^ yeah...I'm not making any sense am I? |

I have no problem understanding your sense:D ! It was definitely some impressive firepower ! It seems like I ran across that show some years back. Who knows, maybe it was a design that imprinted a memory worth saving and I subconsciously added it to my sub :)? Does that show still air ? It seems like there was one cartoon that introduced 3d animation to TV....was that the one ? |

Yes, that is the show that started it all. That show was ReBoot. It ran from 1994 to 2001, and was created by Mainframe, Inc (now a part of Rainmaker, Inc). It holds the distinction of being the first fully computer animated TV show, and pioneered a lot of 3D shows that are done today. Sadly, it was hit with a lot of rights issues from the stations that aired it and the companies that owned the video release rights. The fourth, and so far final season, was aired in 2001 and released to DVD, the rest of the seasons are locked in storage (though, they live on in YouTube and Torrent fame).
HOWEVER...^_^ We mega-fans, who formed together the coalition called "ReBoot Revival" got our wish in late 2007/early 2008. When Rainmaker acquired Mainframe, Inc. earlier that year, they saw the hundreds of thousands of signatures on a petition to bring back ReBoot, and they have pledged that they will. They are doing 3 feature-length films, to be released to theaters starting in 2010, continuing/wrapping up the stories and drawing in a whole new audience, with the hope of returning ReBoot to the regular TV lineup. ^_^ Personally, I can't wait...since I am a mega-fan, my name is on the project as well (in the special thanks section)...if you go to ReBoot.com you'll see the whole list...hm...except it's my 'real' name...>.> which isn't Marie Bergantz....<.< Don't take it personal, but I don't normally give out my real name... |

Great work Mr. 3d! I am totally awed by how you created your sub! Brillant. Your rendering reminds me of a great book cover image that draws readers in. |
