I wonder how this would look rendered by the Flash plugin?

You can find the tSFlash.tsx in your tS folder.

Sorry, I think that the Flash plugin is a pay extension that isn't included.

I can't find it in my TS7.6 folder anyway. Not in my TS6.6 either.

Ya, one has to purchase the Flash plug-in. Don't think it is available anymore though - dunno.

You are correct! Amazing.

I even tried it in TS6.6 and it works there also...

Is this an oversight by Caligari or should it be there?

Apparently flash doesn't like transparencies.

I don't have a flash viewer, so not sure if this will even post here

But I did do something with the dome - does this look better?

drag the swf on the windows of a navigator (ie , firefox,...) and you see the result. It is destroy (you need to change the quality setting and choose a SIZE bigger when you render to file).

I agree with what you say, but it still does not like anything I do with transparency. Like the clouds below or the floating clouds.

Anyway... I think I'm going to have to do some other furniture. This is my attempt at the furniture in the cartoon, but it's so small, that this couch looks like a small pink whirlwind.

The Flash is not an oversight, it is meant to be there :)

You would have to build the scene without transparency to work though, using "cartoon glass" techinques (eg the color gradient etc).

HTH!

Yeah, but then you couldn't see into the house or anything... I may do it just for fun next month.

Here is the latest update - added some furniture.

The extra detail is certainly help bring it alive.

I'm curious - which render engine are you using? Are you going DX or VRay (or Yaf?) To my untrained eye, it doesn't look like you're using HDRI which might help make the plastic materials more plastic looking? Some nice bright highlights would help show the domes more too I would think.

I'm using the DX real-time shader this time around. I do a lot of v-ray, but I try to do at least one DX9 per month so I can gt better at it.

I guess that's understandable - I can't even open workspace side so can't get cracking with the dx yet.

I do recall that the new shaders available included one for what looked like faked hdri in dx shader - might be worth a look for some funky plastic...

I have it as good as I'm going to get. Every time I do something, it distracts form the pic, so I stopped after a couple more tweeks and then added a bit of Gimp Magic in the spirit of my inspiration.

I like it!!! My only complaint is that it reminds me how ticked off I am because I was told when I was a kid back in the 60's that I would be riding around in space cars by now and it aint happening yet :D

Glad you like it. For some reason, I never bought into that whole flying car thing as a kid... Guess I'm just not the kind of person who sees the potential for mankind. ;)
