I dreamed this ... well you can't call it a house ... but it's PART of a house. Now I have to figure out what the rest of the house looks like!!!! The stairs lead to a cat walk type balcony that leads to a library/loft over the master bedroom to the left (looking from the entrance; this top image) and to the children's / guest rooms to the right. The balcony will extend around the two sides of the living room, but I haven't decided whether it should be cantilevered or not. Also been working on my animation scifi but that's slow going. News report about a burning dive ship (Odeysea Voyager ... yea, I know it's misspelled; don't blame me!) out in the Gulf? That WAS the work vessel I've been supporting for the last three months with my boat. No one was hurt but it was a little tense. I'm off the boat for a couple of weeks until the contractor can line up another dive boat. In the mean time I can do some 3d-ing and more work on my animation. ... and crawfish, pulled pork, oysters, and gumbo for the final inspection party! ALL invited!!! (burp!) Good to see you back Paul, even if only for a couple of weeks. :) The house is looking good. The fireplace looks interesting, I like it. I like the spiral staircase too. This is shaping up to be an interesting house. :) p.s. I'm really curious about your secret animation project. I saw the news story on the burning ship in the Gulf and thought, 'Huh, I know of a guy who works out there... I hope that's not his ship.' Close, but no smoldering cigar, just a smoldering ship. Glad no one was seriously hurt, enjoy your hiatus on shore. I hope you bought the copper fireplace hood before the price of copper 'went through the roof'...owie.
