Hi all, here a free Hexa Picker shader.
This free Hexa Picker shader is an alternative color shader for Model view material editor.
Features are same with standart "plain color shader" plus:
1. Pick Color tool for faster get color from computer screen,
2. Feature to manually input hexa color value.
Installation: (on my computer)
1. copy file HexaPicker.tss into folder C:\trueSpace76\tS\Shaders\Material\
2. restart you trueSpace for load the HexaPicker shader.
How to use:
1.Right click on Model View ME color shader for open color shaders library window.
2.Select HexaPicker shader from shaders library window for set it as default color shader.
3.Click on color button for open windows color dialog.
4.Click and hold mouse button on color picker image for pick color on your screen.
5.or enter Hexa value on hexa value text input box then click apply button for apply input value.

I know Johny has been working hard to create that very handy shader and release it for Xmas as a gift to the community.
One reply only is not a reward for such a generous present. And I hope that this is due to the fact that most tSpacers were out of internet last week and that Johny's post has been lost among too many topics.
Or perhaps you have missed the interest of that tool.
HexaPicker shader allows for a seamless workflow managing colors between trueSpace and other applications :
- You can grab a color anywhere on your screen, from a website, a picture, a Photoshop project with HexaPicker's color picker.
- You can copy/paste the hexadecimal value of a color from any application in one clic, instead of clicking the three RGB fields and enter 3 values.
- You can select a color with accuracy, using the large Windows's color selector.
... and all this is available for tS6.6 also !
Really, HexaPicker is a must_have shader that will save you many clics !
It is worth a download and try ;) |

I use a program called picpick that's similar to this.
But to have something that works straight in ts is awesome, thanks. :) |

A good reason to post to TurboSquid ;) Then its easy to go there every week and have a search for any new releases and updates to tS content, while on forums a new release is easily overlooked (or lost amongst "cant download now, must try and remember to come back and get this later..." thoughts).

Only just came across this (was away over Christmas, so missed many 'new posts' at the time) but this is an excellent little add-in - works brilliantly and I can see it being extremely useful. Choosing colours has always been a bit of a bind with the default set up in the ME (despite liking most other aspects of the ME) and this looks set to make it heaps easier.

Hello JimB, thanks for alert us about "Ziddu.com" download link possible problem. :)
I think there two possibility:
1. "Ziddu.com" owner really inject dangerous jscript code on their web site. or
2. It's a false alarm from your antivirus program.
For get the right answer of this problem, I think you need to cross check this problem with your antivirus vendor.
For an alternative, I add second download link. This second download link use "Rapidshare.com". This "Rapidshare" download link also available for 90 days since today (as what "Rapishare" FAQ said).
After 90 days from today, file will remove by Rapidshare and you all can only can get tS HexaPicker color shader from your friends. Like what happened to all of old tS plugin. :p
Sorry I'm only mimic what Caligari did with all tS plugin on their store. :o
My reason is let me taste what Caligari feeling while their make it all hard to find, and also give them know what our feeling while know it all become hard to find. :D |

I'm kidding about to let it disappear after 90 days, just for make more tS users download it. Because I saw it bury for 2 month inside other topics. :D |
