You are probably right...model works perfectly for me...

Hmmmmmmm. Nope sorry Paul not getting that here. Everything seems fine on that front for me.

Perhaps the god of 3D input devices is making up for me not being able to make the model side TSX work.:o:D

MadMouse - if you're having trouble getting trueBall working on your system I may have a solution.

It seems 3D Connexion have made the jump from ASCII to Unicode, in which case you'll need a new "truespace.scg" file.

Check out my trueBall page here for details:

Well I never! Have you updated the .scg file recently then Steven as I've just tried your plugin again and have done exactly what I did before but now everything seems to work fine. I'm Soooooooooooo happy :banana::banana:

If you have recently updated the .scg file then I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

@splinters... If it does turn out that Steven has not updated the .scg file and it was the same one I was using before then the only reason that I can think of for trueball suddenly working is because I recently had to reinstall TS due to a different problem. Maybe this might be the cause of your crash with clintonman's 'doohicky'. Could you need to reinstall maybe?????

Thanks again Steven Your my new hero either way :D:D:D

P.S. Is there anyway I can use trueball similar to the cube demo that comes with the SN? i.e. the object stays central and the SN moves you around the object constantly looking at its center. If this were possible I would be in rapture!!!!!

madmouse, I have been running mine without any truespace.scg at all!...maybe that was the problem for you...

And exactly how do you get the SN to load the truespace.scg? I just get any application in the top window there...

Really! how bizarre!

Like this............

trueBall comes with two configuration files for 3DxWare; which one you use depends upon which version of 3DxWare you have installed - you can find out which version of 3DxWare you have installed from the About tab in the 3DxWare driver interface. If you are using a version of 3DxWare earlier than version 3.5.15 then use the trueSpace.scg file from the Pre_3.5.15 folder. If your version of 3DxWare is version 3.5.15 or later, use the trueSpace.scg file from the Post_3.5.15 folder. Once you know which is the appropriate trueSpace.scg file for your system, copy it into the appropriate profile folder under your 3DxWare installation, e.g.

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\en_us\profiles\default

Then restart your PC before activating the trueball TSX

HTH
