TS6.6 Auto Load does not want to disable

TS6.6 Auto Load does not want to disable // TS6 and Older

I go into File->Preferences in TS 6.6 and I uncheck Auto Load.
Howeve the next time I open TS auto load is checked again.
How can I make sure that Auto Load stays uncheck? |

If you have a limited user account on for example a computer running xp, then it is quite possible that you as a limited user will not be able to write to the truespace folder; therefore truespace won't be able to save its config file, so won't remember that you've told it not to autoload. Hope this helps:) |

Actually Hemulin, I am pretty sure it just does not work...hang on....I'll go check....AGAIN!
EDIT: Weird, previous scene loaded automatically on startup while one I just had when I closed TS7 did not....mind you, I did change layout. |

One of the telltale signs that you cannot write to the truespace directory is that everytime/almost everytime truespace quits you will get an error message saying "error saving library" |

That is not a problem for me Hemulin. However, autosave option has had its problems...then again, you are not running TS7 yet are you...problem seemed to be particular to that version. Don't remember it happening in TS6. Although you do have to close TS after setting prefs (and saving them from file menu) for it to be effective:o |

It definately sounds like mmakerzem cannot write to the truespace folder, i did say it might not come up with that error message though (didn't I:confused: ), however I could quite possibly be wrong :o |

hi..in ts6.6 make sure "save state" is checked on preference panel, then autoload should not reset when unchecked..;) .. |

Ah yes - there is that, however I thought savestate was, as default, turned on in ts6.6 :rolleyes: |

I'm using an admin account so I can write to the truespace folder no problem.
It looks like my SaveState value was unchecked. I checked it and now everything seems to work fine.
