Hi all,:D
This has probably already been mentioned but why when using the scroll wheel on the mouse does it only work in the perspective window after scrolling in the main window::confused::
Is this going to be fixed or is it just the way Ts is now as it is rather annoying:(

Talking about scroll wheel, a feature I would love to see in tS is a zoom using the pointer as zoom axis rather than simply the screen center. The ones who use AutoCAD know what I am talking about.

It really helps navigation in large scenes.

Actually Stan, stoker is right and he has a decent mouse from what I remember. I have latest beta and the problem is still there; something to do with the way TS7 uses multiple windows. Feature has to be activated in main window prior to using in a little window.

If you are able to open a fresh scene and scroll ziew in a small perspective window first time without using scroll zoom in the main window first then you have the elusive and rare 'fixed' version..;)

ok then...Stoker..you need a cheaper mouse..lol .mine only cost 15$ can..one with no ball underneath...:D I opened truespace first time today..without touching the main view..open a extra model view or player view window click scroll ...zoom away.. close truespace, try again with those windows open..click, scroll zoom..

maybe mine works because I stripped away all the excess things like those tabs..

I would love to know what is different about your setup Stan. Sure developers would too!

I think the difference is, as Stan mentioned, he's clicking in the window itself, not just selecting its titlebar. That's what solved it for me - just click anywhere inside the view window you want to zoom.

Stan: I am curious, open a New :icon_ViewPerspectiv in Model. Can you zoom with the middle mouse button?

I know you asked Stan, but I just tried it, & it worked. I guess the thing with it not working by just selecting the sub-windows title bar must be me thinking of 1 of the older, pre-release versions.

Yep. :)

<- Can not find that icon in this forum.

What, this 1 :icon_ViewPerspectiv? :) You found it ok last time. Simple way to get the code for it again would have just been to click Quote on your own previous post, then copy the relevant code into something like Notepad & then hit back on your browser [if you need to quote someone else's post as well]. I always use a seperate text editor for my posts, though not Notepad, I use EditPad Lite (http://www.editpadlite.com/).

I have 7.01 and it does not work here.

Don't know why that is. Have you tried deleting the default.ctx? that seems to be the cure for a lot of probs.

Fancy mouse (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2135,CONTENTID=9043)? moi? Well, yes :D, but it does most of the normal mouse functions before you install its own drivers [when it's still using the XP 1s I mean], & does even more afterwards. :)

Alien: No biggie but that is not the "New Perspective View" icon. Restore does not fix this either.
Stan: I have standard 2 button and scroll wheel mouse "Dell". The only option I changed in XP was Snap to Default button in dialogs.

Having looked closer at it, I see your point. That's the perspective view icon for the main window, not the new perspective window icon. Norm made a few goofs with the tS icons for the forum. I thought I'd PM'd him about them a while back, but checked my sent folder & either I forgot to do it or I deleted it whilst deleting some older messages. <shrug> I guess he hasn't had time to sort it.

Oi! Stop reading my mind! :p

I can zoom in all variations of setups including the 4 panel tab one. I can zoom in all 4 views. I just click down once with wheel in center of panel and zoom. If I use default tab view and open the 4 panel display using the Icon I cannot zoom using the wheel in any of them.

Yeah, that bug's been around for a while. Zoom works ok in 4-view on the Full tab though.

So is this a bug or what. And why would all 4 views scroll but not a perspective window????. - WEIRD!!

I guess Stan would say it something to do with the mouse LOL:D :D ;) ;)
