Well, it was fun until it got so gloopy that it's not fun anymore! Was going to chuck much more into this but it's getting tough to move around so figured I'd share where it got to before being put back on the shelf. No idea what it's supposed to be or mean!

Nice render Kate! Looks like another good one for the gallery! :D
I really like the rust coloring on the metal elements, it's a nice touch and adds interest. |

Thats intriguing because it lloks like it could be a nice physics scene, but looks to good to be realtime render. |

Looks like you've got a bit of spike sticking through your cloth there
Aside from that very neat |

Well, I can't stand an untidy dungeon/torture room floor either. Good thing for draping cloths!
Looks really great WWW, I like it a lot! |

Beautiful render, Kate. As usual a very different and unique approach.

Well it is unusual.
If you decided to continue I would suggest removing the back two spiked objects. Then enlarge the cloth to take up approximately the whole upper half of the scene. The three materials cloth, porcelain and metal fight for balance as is smoothness, sharpness and rust.
Interesting work as always. |

Thanks guys. The 'spike through the cloth' was intentional, the thinking being it had snagged through but as a few people have pointed it out it clearly wasn't obvious enough so I've fixed it. Mr Bones - it's not realtime (I don't do realtime). Steinie - no intentions to do any more with it, the harsh contrasts (balance) is pretty much what I was aiming for so as you've noticed it I guess I've succeeded! :-)
Now, where's that clay.... |
