I am trying to use the Mirror Modeler tool and I can't seem to figure out how to set what axis it needs to mirror, I need it to mirror the Y Axis but it always mirrors the X Axis no matter what I do. Can anyone please help me? |

Mirroring is not based on the axis, but on the selected face - go into point edit, choose the face on the object that is the mirror plane, then activate the Mirror Modeler tool. It won't matter what direction that face is in, it will mirror across it, even if it is not aligned to any given axis at all.
This applies to both Mirror Modeler tools, the one in workspace and the older one in the Model (Legacy) side.

I just tried what you said and yes that works great thank you for your help :) I am used to mirror and symetry modes working on Axis instead of like this. |

You can use axis options with the Mirror modeler as well, by right clicking on it's icon and bringing up it's option panel. |

Yes, I have to do a double check on those, when it comes to Mirror Modeling and the Mirror tool, to make sure I remember which is which ;) For those not sure of the difference, Mirror Modeling takes one half of a model, say the left half of a person, and creates the other half - modeling on one side also updates the other while the mirror modeling is live. This is done across a selected face on the model.
The Mirror tool takes a whole model and flips it, mirroring it in a particular plane.
Both are very useful, and do sound confusingly similar even though they do different things. Anyone reading this who is new to tS and hasn't tried these out yet, do take some time and experiment with them!
