I didn't mean to create any controversies. I'm just enjoying myself.... and submitting what I can contribute in hopes that someone else might appreciate what I've done. I, myself, enjoy creating scenes. I understand that the SMC is supposed to be centered on complex modeling at a minimal time, but I'm just not there yet (a complex model on a grey backdrop)...........So, I submit what I can do in a short period of time. It's not about the votes for me, as it is the contribution and the art.:)
You didn't create any problems at all.
Keep up the submissions.

Mr 3d.... You have an imagination :cool: (looks like it could have been on the MMC "Abandoned").... Your first entry makes me think "global warming"... uh is that Gore up in the corner? ;) :D |

LOL:D.....That's "gory" me in a Halloween costume....applied with the Caligari Material onto the sphere !
There's so much one can do with the abandoned theme....hate to see it leave with only one entry. But anyway, consideing it's the Holiday Season, I thought I'd create something along those lines with this month's MMC (Abandoned).;) |

How do other places do SMC? ahhh who cares. Now how are we going to is important. Rendering can show if model is sufficient in detail to show it is complete or not but then that goes into material/texturing ability as well. Going back to a more modeling specific challenge pushing one's skills in that area to me seems more important. Otherwise maybe the competition should have two polls, best wireframe, best image, combine the two for best overall. More complicated but one could get better feedback from wireframe vote. Plus one could win with best wire frame overall while best image doesn't. |

Let's remember. The SMC was created by the forum members for the forum members. For the express purpose of giving people a challenge to work toward and improve modeling capability. the MMC was created in response to people wanting to see the whole process and judge on it.
It's all in good fun, and really does not have official prizes. so just enjoy. I've tried 3 times to make a model for this SMC, but with extra training at work keeping me going until midnight every day and visiting my parents every weekend this month, I just don't have 2 hours to myself. Oh, well... I have good ideas and all, just no time right now.
I will still vote when it's time though. :D |

Thanks all for keeping up the support (through all the confusion too)... Great entries... Very imaginative. I shouldn't have worried :D

Ok, #39 is now closing.
I will wait till tomorrow morning to post the poll so that any that may currently be working on an entry can post it. Please thought, only post entries that were started before the closing time (16th 11:59 GMT).

I tried to whip up another one yesterday (16th), but tS was in one of its moods.......so now it's turned into a WIP ! Maybe I'll post another day ? |
