For me I loved the Maltese Falcon I voted for that next would be Prodigy creation and Indy Hat and whip. I can't wait for the next challenge :jumpy: |

Hey guys.. few comments..
Im trying to add some fun here (adding pictures, etc) and so far for me the most important thing of a SMC is "PRACTICE" not win.. that must be clear..
In fact this was my last entry for the poll inside a speed model challenge..
I will continue entering (cos i love SMC) but not competing for the first place or such.
:)
.... Naa, not worry if I get any votes or not, having fun doing them and figuring out how I can speed up my rate some which I need to do, so I win anyways :).....
I think Noko catch the spirit of SMC ;) |

I agree, BUT :D I wouldn't be telling the truth if I said I don't want to win any contest I enter.
I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to win. But there is a right way and a wrong way just like everything in life.
Sure I want to win but not if I have to do anything wrong to get there.
I agree that this is all mostly for fun and even if I never win one I hope I will always congradulate the others on their excellent work and make sure I keep it all in it's correct perspective :D

Prodigy's image was the best - he's always right up there. The contest page had images of starship trooper bugs and terminator skulls, so the brief was wide open.
If we're going to turn this contest into something resembling a texan prison, it will lose it's appeal. It's far more interesting and artistic now than before, it's growth is a credit to this community imo.
Who really wants to model a fork, anyway? |

I think maybe you have mis-read what I wrote.
I was not inferring (not even the thought came into my head) that prodigy or anyone else was winning by doing anything wrong. I greatly enjoyed prodigy's model.
I am happy to be this close to winning but it seems some people are not in the best of moods right now :D

I didn't misread anything, your the one who raised the stuff about breaking the rules. :confused:I think maybe you could have written your post better.
And who's in a bad mood? I think the contest is fine as is, it's others who seem to be having a problem. I don't use smileys much as I'm too lazy to, I've put some in this post just for you.;)
Overall, I think people got this one right, both of the top two were very good..:) |

44 votes is a really good turnout and shows how well chosen this theme was - and how good the entries are, even if it's turned into a 2 horse race (a bit of a shame in some ways as I think there were other entries that deserved at least one or two votes at least). This is the highest number of votes in as long as I can remember - we normally have around 20-30...
Both the front-runners are excellent; don't worry Mike, I'm sure you'll get a win at some point, you really get a lot out of 3.2. We all know Prodigy can win these things, he's done it enough already...:rolleyes: I think he enjoys beating the rest of us regularly! :D maybe if he's having a boring time at work he whips out another stunning SMC win just to cheer himself up?! :D |

I came in at 45! I love that people are paying more attention, and also entering AND voting. Very cool
I do feel bad though that I could only offer one vote. Sooo many very good choices. Maybe in the future we can have somtin like 2 votes a piece if entries are more than 15 or 20; I am actually amazed at what little votes were cast for some of these; surely cuz we only get one vote. |

Well, that's it, 12:08 GMT the SMC poll is now officially closed. Many Congrats to Prodigy on another SMC win and also a big well done to Mike for producing a fine model that chased Prodigy all the way to the finish line. Congrats also to Weevil who just managed to fend off Weevil for a well deserved third place. :D
Before handing the reins over to Prodigy, I'd like to give my personal thanks to all those who took the time and effort to partake in what I think has been a very successful SMC. And last, but not least, a big, big thank you to all the forum members who showed their support by casting their vote. 45 votes is quite an achievement. |

Very well done modeling prodigy, congradulations. It will be fun to see what you choose for the next one.

Aye...The fact that the Vipers are under recognised...It was a tough fight between me and me.
