Cant anyone host all the images on one page if the forum doesnt support multiple images? Saves clicking on each link for each persons image:confused::confused:

The forum supports multiple images in one post perfectly. All I have a problem with is making the attachments show up as images, as you can't use the standard .

The problem is because the link is not a Image.. is a php, and when you use [IMG] call the php and not the final image, thats the problem.. works if you call a external image jpg for example from other site.

The question is where are located the images!! jejeje very complicated.. but theres must be a workarround..

What I was thinking about the tiny numbers in the upper right corner is using the URLs from that and then making hotspots on the Poll chart; either to the left, right or right below the post.

Should say click to view not vote. :)

Did someone say 'workaround'?
Give this baby a shot! (http://www.cooliris.com/Site/index.html)
Because you can never be too lazy, uh, I mean, pressed for time.
The problem is that someone is stuck building the list of entries, either a text/link list or a bunch of images.
It's easier in the long run to have one link to the Challenge thread, which should be in the first post when the poll is set up.
If you could tag a thumbnail to each poll entry, now *that would be slick.

Sorry for the delay, I'm having to use someone else's computer as my main one is out of action with a spectacular hard disc failure.

That was close but in the end it's CONGRATULATIONS to Ed Baker for his fabulous Mantle Clock.

Congratulations are also due to everyone else as well as the entries are increasing, the voting is increasing, looks like this little fun compy is starting to take off!

So, it's over to you for the next one, Ed, and I look forward to entering again when I'm back up and running.

Oh, and Tom, in the time it took you to write that post about why you haven't got the time to vote, you could've just voted instead! :-)

Congrats again Ed.

The winners should be required to give a tutorial on how they did it in two hours or less. :D

Lol, that's not much of an incentive to win though ;)

Thank You!

I'm very excited.

I wrote a little speech here (unfolding paper). . .Ehemm!

First of all, I would like to say that it's just an honor to be nominated, and I feel that I truly share this with all the nominees.

Second I want to thank my parents, whom without, I wouldn't be here.

Then there's my manager, may agent, and . . .

Oops sorry! That was my oscar speech.

Seriously though, thanks!:jumpy:

It really is neat winning especially with the competition out there. I will post the next challenge tonight after I get home from work.

Oh and Jamesmc the tut goes something like this:

Left Click - Drag

Left Click - Drag

Left Click - Drag

Left Click - Drag

Copy, Paste

Spacebar

Right + Left Click Drag

Undo

Right Click Drag

. . .and so on

Buy I digress,

Seriously, I'll put up a tut this weekend.

I did vote as well as posting about it. First time I have voted though! The lists shown would be a help for me, saves scrolling to see just what "Ed Baker Mantel Clock" might be, I can open up the image with the name of that item and know what I am voting on.

Only been able to take time this time due to being ill, so had a little more leisurely time to browse through. Other simplification alternatives are to not allow comments in the entry thread - so that each post is always an entry, and entries not separated by several "Great image!" type posts (which could go to a separate thread).

Only put those comments in since it was mentioned that not many people are voting, so trying to find ways to make it more accessible so you get more votes :)

HTH!

Hope you feel better soon, Tom. I fully agree that it'd be easier on the eye if the thread only contained entries rather than comments on aspects of them or the current trend for cries of 'tutorial please'. Maybe it'd streamline it but there's also a chance it'd start to make a fun thing too sterile and officious if too many rules start to get imposed? Not sure on that, what's everyone else think? Whatever gets more people interested is what gets my vote!

I don't mind the comments. Helps to "Bump" the thread as it were. What I was planning on doing this time was to copy all of the images into the poll thread when I make it. So, all anyone will have to do is scroll down to see them. . .hopefully.

What do you think about that?

Oh, and I hope you feel better soon too Tom.

It is so hard to separate the discussion and the content. Part of me believes a non-text entry-thread would be best, while the other part of me remembers that rockin-real-time gallery openning with mr Zack!

In the tutorial area, I am able to separate questions from the tutorial thread. Same could happen here if someone who creates the initial thread for contest, also creates a second thread for "Questions: SMC #x". Some could just wake me up if the separation is not done in a timely manner. :)
