Drummers novelty alarm clock (maybe I should get a patent out on this?!)
(obviously said drummer must be out partying as the bed's empty...)
TS 5.1 SP2
modelling approx 1hr 45
textures 5mins (and it shows! although it's supposed to look kind of like a toy)
rendering 1 min
pretty much all polys - only sds was on the pillow...
would have liked to spend the other 15mins, but my lunch break wasn't long enough... |

"Time is an illusion: lunchtime doubly so"
The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Well thanks to having a house load of tradesmen - painters, underfloor insulation installers and so on, this week has been a temporal challange to say the least. In order to show my support for our little tS community here I offer this belated picture of a clock which was originally intended for the speed challenge but was not uploaded in time!
Modelling time would have excluded it from voting consideration anyway as it took about 2 and a half hours to build.
This has been an interesting excercise for me and confirms that I really don't enjoy rushing my work. Modelling for me is a pursuit best undertaken at a leisurely pace. I like to be able to take my time, walk around my model and let it grow as it will. Restricting myself to a time limit seems too ...er... restricting somehow!
To quote Gandalf the Grey; "A wizard is never late Frodo Baggins. He always arrives precisely when he means to!"
Anyway here it is. I call it 'Tempus has fugited'.;) |

Too late? Maybe, but absolutely the most creative way of complying with the wire mesh requirement. Whether it counts or not, your clock gets my vote for it's very subtle humor. |
