Why your RsObj have 3.88mb


If i save on TS7 Cob have 5.25mb.


And if i save as TS6.6 Cob have 1.33mb??


Why have this huge diference between file formats??? :confused:

Well is big becasue of geometry for first. When I used 4 segments in the sweep of the curve, I quad'd the number of faces. Is a sweet looking model but when you add all the ts7 specific details to file, it gets large in a hurry. Perhaps when instancing arrives, a model such as this would end up much smaller.

Material is second reason for the size. If you were to take a single leaf from the lamp and texture is as simple colors, it would drop in file size, which can be multiplied across all the leaves in bottom and top. Using Caligari logo on top portion was a bit of a bear as well.


So as you save in ts6.6 format, no ts7 specific information will exist in the file ... so it becomes small. It is imp to realize that as technology presses forward, demands elsewhere are revealed and file size is going to be one of them. wait till animation gets added to the mix ! :D
