Yeah that's exactly right Mr Bones. The problem I'm encountering now is that one of the walk cycles I'm using is not symmetrical, the left foot does not appear to travel as far as the right foot - or if it's travelling the same distance it's doing it at a different speed.

This means I can adjust the forward motion so that the left foot is synchronised - it appears to remain stationary as the character walks forward - but the left leg slips, particularly at the very end of the stride.

This is not really a problem with most BVH derived clips as they are more often than not portraying asymmetric motions - a punch or kicking movement does not need to loop.

I've got a situation with two characters walking across a long bridge and so I'm looping the walk cycles and trying to get both feet firmly on the ground. It's an interesting challenge and I'm learning lots about things as I go.

I'm onto something which may solve this last problem but I'm still refining it. I'll post here with my conclusions when I finally succeed.

Maybe the dude's got one leg longer than the other.lol ? Useful for walking in a circle though!

Solution.. change length of opposite leg on every other pace...

OK OK only joking!

LOL - Are you pulling my leg?!;)

Actually it's sort of fitting given I've been going in circles so much with this!

I'm thinking the eventual title of this animation will be "Why Peter Jackson doesn't call me!":D
