Hey guys,
I bought a Samsung DVD burner some time back and I never had much of a chance to use it. I did try it once and couldn't figure out how to just burn data files. I have the NeroVision Express software installed that came with it. It will only allow me to burn video files. It won't seem to let me make a data DVD. I really need to burn some files onto DVD for a project.
Has anyone had experience with with NeroVision Express? Is there some way, perhaps some other software that will allow me to burn data instead of just video files?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

I have Nero express and use it almost entirely to burn data files - mine (Nero 6) 'says' 'what do you want to burn' and the top selection is 'data files' - can you be more specific (while I find my screen capture program)?

I got a couple of Samsung dvd burners myself. The software that I got with my burner is also nero. I don't know if you have this option but in the Nero start menu area there is an option for Nero StartSmart. This is where I can burn data DVD's. If you don't have it maybe it did not install all the components?!? |

Thanks for the reply guys. :)
I used to have regular Nero Express and it used to let me burn data, but only onto CD's. If I remember correctly, when I installed NeroVision Express it got rid of regular Nero Express, like it overwrote it or something. Now I can't select to burn data, only videos.

I suspect I need some other software. Is there anything free out there? |

Also, to my recollection, almost any 'burning' software, even the freeware ones will let you burn data files.
Hope this helps

I couldn't get Nero Express 6 to install. I kept getting errors. I did get DeepBurner installed and tested it. Works good.
Thanks for your help guys, now I can get my project done. :) |
