Still not getting EPS files into tS....

tried 4.3 and 7.6 on this file http://www.postcardart.info/misc/seals-eps.zip (the Seal of Rassilon, EPS format)
4.3 chugged along and popped up 'Bad command MM' and failed it
7.6 just put up 'Incorrect format' and left it alone..
any one know how to convert this into a tS friendly EPS file ?? |

Unless you have a certain reason for using the .eps, just import the eps file into any photo editing software and export them to jpeg, bmp, or png. I've had no problems with those formats.

well you see, I need to make it in 3D. with the EPS I can then extrude it and work with it. a bitmap I would have to load it as a background or on a plane and trace it |

Have you tried converting to an ai file, be sure to remove any strokes and make sure that all shapes are closed. what version of eps were these saved as? |

The only other way I can think of would be to translate the symbol into a 'symbol font', TS will read fonts and turn them into 3d - search for freeware to make the eps into a font, and that may work.

I'll see if I can open them in something like openoffice then convert 'em there... |

You need to save the file as an older version eps like 8 or 3 and do not include a preview in the file. TS can't read the bitmap preview. See attached for rasillon. |

I can load into tS 7.6 Modeler all my EPS files generated from ZWCAD 2008 (http://www.zwcad.org/) with default settings. |
