i was just wondering if anyone still has the upgrade patches from GS1.5 to GS1.6. I got a used version of gamespace and i would appreciate it if someone could send them to me....i picked up GS for the converters(because TS 7.6 does not save to too many game formats)thank you in advance......... |

From what i've heard on other posts around the forums here, (and I really hate to tell you this), but I don't think GameSpace is being updated anymore, and I don't think it's available for purchase anymore either. Look around the forum, or do a search for "gamespace" here or on any of the Truespace forums, and you might find what i'm talking about.
Also, try doing a search for the Truespace gamePak by typing in "gamePak". That's what I have, and it supports alot of game formats. Then again, the gamePak is something that was out way before ts 7.6, so I don't know if you will find all the info you need about it.
I found this:http://www.gamespace.net.au/
...but i don't think that's the site you're looking for, and it's probably not the "official" GameSpace homepage. I never saw their site for a long time now, so I could be wrong. But I have to say, I didn't see any product labeled 'GameSpace' at the site link I gave you, and I certainly didn't see anything about ts there.
Good luck finding the gamePak!:) |

Well, on buying the used version, was the license transferred? IE were you in touch with us here at Caligari to arrange the license transfer?
On the converters, bear in mind that some formats are now in tS7.6 itself (eg X format, greatly improved as it happens, and COLLADA). Also bear in mind that some formats from gS were in fact from Milkshape, embedded into gS - the standalone Milkshape, a very affordable package, would possibly do the trick for your formats and work well with tS7.6.
There were other formats in there, but perhaps one of those two routes would cover the one you need (what formats are you looking for?).
The modeling in gS and tS7.6 Model side is of course the same (except tS7.6 has more tools and options).
So there may be other routes that would give better solutions than trying to get 3 or 4 year old software up and running....

hey vikki eagle that would be great if you could give me the patches...
i've been a user of TS 6.6 for a while now and have learned how to model, texture, and animate in TS.(i'm not a pro yet) since gamespace is the same thing as TS 6.6(except for the many game export formats) i would like to use gamespace to export my models into b3d, torque, and the other formats for people to use (for free) in there games or animations...
Ts 7.6 looks great and has many new and useful features for animation but is very limited for game creation.... |

@Eagle - Edit: I found the GameSpace site! So this is where the site is, and it still has the "Buy Now" button, but is it still available to buy?
Edit 2: I looked at the site, and found that GameSpace can only export 3d Game Studio's format up to version A6, but then again I think 3d Game Studio supports other formats too, like .x, and .3ds, which GameSpace supports. I erased all the other questions that I don't need in this post now.

Nope, not available for purchase, there are no Caligari products available or supported now other than tS7.6 and V-Ray for tS7.6, now that tS7.6 is free. The site itself should not be there, so I'll see to taking that down today :)

Would be great if you could add the 3D Buzz tutorial:
http://internet.caligari.com/gamespace/tutorial/video_3DBuzz.asp
to the Caligari site. |

That was a great tutorial. Also would be nice to move the other video tutorials from the gamespace site too. |

The only way I think is if one of GS users would sell you thier copy but that would be subject to Caligari allowing it and transfering the license over to you.
