Hi Caligari and all the members here.


Been over a year since I left TrueSpace and moved over to Lightwave but I've always had a fond place for TrueSpace, it was the software that got me into 3D. Over the past year I've stopped by from time to time to see what's going on. A few months back when Microsoft laid off a lot of staff, I wondered about Caligari. Also, the lack of development progress on TrueSpace and no sign of version 8 appearing had me wondering if Microsoft would pull the plug? Sadly, today I learned they did.


TrueSpace was a fantastic 3D program which I still recommended to this day. And it was a great community of folks here too. Sadly today an era ends.


Best of luck to Roman and all at Caligari. And the same to the community members here. And good luck to you in finding a new footing in the 3D market landscape. Took me nearly a year to settle on Lightwave, the 3D landscape is vast, complex and expensive.
