Hey guys,
I know I've been quiet (read: silent) here lately, and I just wanted to let you know that I am still alive and dribble is still under development. I just updated the shaders to work with the latest version of 3Delight, and I'm going to try and address all the bugs reported thus far (the glass shader should no longer crash, let me know?)
Anyway, it should be obvious that dribble is not my fulltime job or my primary development project, so I can't promise you a massive update next week or anything, but know that I am quietly working on it when I can.
Thanks for all the support thus far. |

That's good news. :)
If you can kill the bugs, Dribble will be a compulsory purchase for truespace. |

Ohhh, that sounds lovely. If you can fix the most bugs my next project could look much better. In this case i wait with the rendering ;). |

Nice !
Dribble is certainly the most interesting tS development project.
BTW, Dribble runs under XP Pro 64 so I think it should work as well in Vista 64. |

I would just like to get down on my knees and beg for this update to happen, even with the depressing news. A bug free Dribble, compatible with 3delight 8.5, will enable me to continue using my favourite software for years to come.
I'm going to start a blog/ site soon (hopefully) devoted to what I've learned in truespace, and Dribble in particular, so if there's any way I can help promote this plug-in, and perhaps gleen a few more sales, I will gladly help.
To anyone that's interested, the site I'm building is www.artweapons.com.
Theres' nothing there yet, and there may not be for a while, but there will eventually be some dribble tutes there for those who are still interested. |

Obviously the news takes wind from the already dangerously-limp sails, but as long as people send me reproducible bugs I'll keep trying to fix them, at least. |

I honestly wouldn't expect you to keep updating this plug-in form here on, but bug fixes would rock. This was probably the best thing to happen in truespace in the last two years imho, you should be proud of it. |

I'm with transient on this - dribble has been a really impressive tool. Great work. |

No doubt about it. :)

Just thinking outloud...
If, for the forseeable future, we keep Dribble and the most recent version of 3Delight that works with it... can we just renew our license every few months? I mean - I know 3Delight is a variable there, because they can just say "Ok, you are 10 versions behind... you can't get a license # for that version any more.", and if Dribble doesn't work with their latest version then it's Katie-bar-the-doors.
Basically, it would be cool to know that in 5 years all of my oldie-but-good tools are working just fine.

I'm pretty sure that NDA allow people to use free version of their older renderers indefinitely. I know some have been using 6.5 with Daz3d until fairly recently (that was the only version Daz3d 2.* would work with).
It's a good question, though. |
