The weird thing is that you're not quite right ;) - see the following link for some true strangeness: there's a few places at -12 and -11, but weirder are the places at +12:45 and +14hrs! So you're not quite the first to see in a new day....!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_time_zones

And windows Vista time zone setting only support -12 until +13. I dont see setting for +14. :D

Oh! On the beach huh? That's why we haven't see your images lately ... you're just surfing and tanning all the time.

LOL - that's pretty close to the truth Finis! Only I haven't surfed anything other than the internet in years - these days I'm more likely to be sipping beer in my hammock under a shade umbrella.

I hope to have more images coming in a few months time - I've finally entered the digital age and got myself some web-space and a domain name and I'm trying to learn how to build a website.

Nez, cool link. I knew about the GMT+12.45 time zone in the Chatham Islands as they are a (usually totally overlooked) part of New Zealand. The other places (Tonga, Kiribati etc) are small Pacific Islands which changed their time zones in 1994 (mainly to take advantage of being the first places to see the sun rise on New Years Day 2000). I don't know if there are many trueSpace users there!!:D.
