I've been playing arround with the Scatter and Light Manager plugins (http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=1088), mainly building light arrays to get soft shadows.

These can be generated very quickly. Simply take some geometry (a sphere primitive, for instance), load up a light, and use the Scatter plugin to make a copy of each light at that object's vertices. Then you can use the Light Manager to adjust each of the lights in one go, or fine-tune an individual light's properties.

I've attached a sample image, some .COB files, and the .SCN file I did the experimentation with.

cool Frank..yes you can make light arrays many ways with those two plugins..did you read my post about gluing a light to a null [created with scatter utilities] and using the ts array tools..light manager has no problem with that kind of arrangement..just click the "selected group" button to load the lights into the listbox..

these two tools are also nice to do that:
Point Clone (http://ckgamefactory.hp.infoseek.co.jp/tsxe/pointclo.html) and Lightman (http://www.lunadude.com/tS/tS_filez/lightMan.html)
(well a bit simpler not such advanced like Light Manager and Scatter ;))
