Hi all. I have tried uploading the trueplay version of the 40 year calendar to the caligari servers. It is a file with a RsScn extension. This is not accepted by the server. Any thoughts on how to do this right?
thanks,

nope, I try typing: ftp.caligari.com/incoming/gallery
and I am asked for my username and password. I type in what I think it is supposed to be, and I get a Error: not logged in message. |

Hmm that ftp site sounds like an oldie, from way back when. Are you using the new submission process?
http://gallery.caligari.com/gallery/
Once logged in (and this is a new login, not an existing one eg from forums or Ebuy, so just set one up with your email), you just choose animation, fill in the details, choose Browse to pick the file from your HD, and upload.
If you find some restriction on file type, just zip it.
Shouldn't be any ftp used though - that was a submission process from about 2 years ago I think :)
HTH!

Hi Tom. The forms that you linked to are the ones that I used.
I select the Upload icon, then a page with this appears:
---------------------------------
Upload a File
For image submission, it must be in .JPG format (saved with high quality compression), and the resoluton must be 800x600, or very close to those dimensions.
For animation submission, the maximum size for each file is 15MB. We cannot accept animations bigger than that.
1. Upload Now (recommended)
Select file:
OR
2. Upload Using FTP (only for bigger file size)
You also can upload your file to our FTP server at ftp.caligari.com/incoming/gallery . The file name you enter below must be the same as the file you uploaded with extension. If you have a zip file, do NOT use the zip file name (eg. abc.zip), use the actual file name inside the zip file (eg. abc.avi).
File Name:
--------------------------------------------
When I use option 1, I get an error, indicating that only files with extensions of: wmv, mpg, avi are allowed. I tried uploading a file with extension; RsScn.
So I then tried option 2, but even if I tried the logon username and password that had just granted access to these pages, I get a logon error.
Is this the correct page, or am I getting to an old page?
Thanks,

Not sure what counts as a larger size - skip that and just try uploading it as a zip via the "browse file" approach, and let me know how it goes :)
Thanks!

I selected Browse, selected a test zip file with the extension: .zip,
then I selected Upload. This is the reply:
Invalid file format. Supported formats are .jpg, .gif, .wmv, .mpg, .avi, .swf
It seems like the formats: .rcd, .RsScn, and .zip need to be added to the list of acceptable file formats, in order to upload trueplay recordings and Rosetta scene files.
Thanks Tom. Please advise.
