Surfing the web with activeworld // Communitykatie williamsMar 13, 2000, 2:42pm
I'm new here and have a question. I was wondering if there was some way to
have all the webpages that show up on the browser that's inside activeworld come up instead on my regular internet explorer browser? -- Katie Williams E-mail: katie at surfnetinc.com Website: http://www.surfnetinc.com/katie/place.htm aaron hillMar 14, 2000, 9:52am
I do not believe there is a way to have AW activate an external browser.
You may run a seperate browser, but it will not change URLs for you. (By the way, the internal web browser in the Active Worlds browser is the same version of Internet Explorer as your external browser.) [View Quote] jp wattMar 14, 2000, 9:49pm
I can't find it again but I read somewhere by tweaking your settings
somehow, you can use an external version of Netscape if you prefer it. -jippydawg [View Quote] goober kingMar 16, 2000, 7:00pm
All you have to do is have Netscape already running when you click on a
url in AW. If you don't have Show -> Web on in AW, AW will send the URL to whatever external browser is running at the time (Netscape or IE) -- Goober King He's the one mumbling in the corner... http://lavender.fortunecity.com/heat/318/index.html aaron hillMar 19, 2000, 1:17am
Ah... I wasn't sure if the Active Worlds browser sent URLs to external
browsers. -- Serac [View Quote] ormondt@cvwrf.state.ut.us (the wanderer)Mar 19, 2000, 6:21am
