I know this idea has been suggested several times in the past, and I'll
probably go a bit in-depth with this, so bear with me:

I've seen and experienced referral programs successfully working in other
programs on the net, so why not here? By successfully inviting a tourist
into the universe (or them immigrating) a user could receive points towards
a prize list you could get from referrals.

Example #1: Earning Referral Points

1 Point: Your referral downloading the browser/immigrating as a tourist
2 Points: Your referral immigrating as a citizen for a monthly purchase
5 Points: Your referral immigrating as a citizen for a yearly purchase
5 Points: Your referral buying a world
10 Points: Your referral buying an external product (Galaxy, Uniserver)

Example #2: Referral Prizes
Prizes should be optional to buy. Points will be deposited and depleted for
whichever prize you opt to get.

3 Points: Credit in AWI Gaming worlds (AWRPG or NewAW, maybe?)
3 Points: Tourist Enable a world of your choice for one week
5 Points: Raise bot limit by 1
5 Points: myaddy at activeworlds.com email address
10 Points: Raise bot limit by 3
10 Points: Tourist Enable a world of your choice for one month
15 Points: A special object for referrals
15 Points: A special avatar for referrals
25 Points: 1 P-10/5 world, no hosting
30 Points: 1 Month Citizenship
30 Points: 1 Month Citizenship Extention
30 Points: Tourist Enable a world of your choice for 4 months
40 Points: Raise bot limit by 10
50 Points: 1 P-10/5 world, hosting
50 Points: 1 P-10/5 world, tourist enabled, no hosting
50 Points: 1 P-20/5 world
55 Points: Renew a world of your choice for one month
60 Points: 2 Month Citizenship
60 Points: 2 Month Citizenship Extention
70 Points: Tourist Enable a world of your choice for a year
75 Points: 1 P-10/5 world, hosting, tourist enabled
75 Points: 1 P-20/5 world, hosting
75 Points: 1 P-20/5 world, tourist enabled
80 Points: 1 P-15/10 world
80 Points: <insert other world varients for same net cost here>
90 Points: Raise bot limit by 20
100 Points: 4 month citizenship/extention
100 Points: Special object or avatar for referrals


If anyone wants to build on this, that may help for AWI to consider the idea

Love that idea. Hoping AWI loves it too. It doesn't seem too costly for the
company. I wonder how easy it would be for them to set something like that
up and keep track of though? (In addition to everything else they have to
keep track of) Wouldn't they need someone extra to keep tabs on all that and
issue the prizes in a timely manner? I can see that idea taking off and
becoming a handful for the couple of people running AWI. Any thoughts or
suggestions?
