I just installed a new UPS and for some reason, whenever I start up
Activeworlds, my UPS begins to beep.
The UPS doesn't need/have software, and shouldn't have anything to do with
Activeworlds.
It starts to beep as soon as I'm logged in and see other people, and stops
as soon as I shut it down.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Help!

[View Quote] Your UPS can't handle the load. When you start AW - it's rendering runs the CPU in full speed (and the video card too) and it increases your PC power consumption significantly.
Try to remove some other load from the UPS (I guess you did not put the monitor on it, did you?) and see if the behavior changes.

You know Andras, I thought it might be that but having no experience of UPS
I couldn't have been sure. :-P

Well, ive never had that guess andras is right. Though mine is a 2200va
rackmount and the software is on another computer.
