my friend just installed directx9, and a bunch of updates from windows
update, then when he restarted his computer his color quality in display was
changed, now he can only use low (4bit) which really sucks, he doesn't have
system restore enabled, and Microsoft isn't much help, 0_0 anyone have some
suggestions...(it cant be changed through display, then color quality) it
only displays 4bit,

please he needs help ASAp


oh he's using windows Xp, but other than that he didn't tell me his system
specs :(

when you are at Display properties, go to the settings tab, then find the
Advanced button.
There you will find Adapter tab, if it says VGA as Adapter type, you must
reinstall your Video card ( drivers ), this you can do at the properties
button, then driver tab, click then on Update driver.
Since you might have to do this, the best is to get the latest driver from
net.
