A Brave New World... // CommunitylegionJul 6, 2004, 7:38pm
My fellow Active Worlds citizen,
The media command has created a whole new opportunity for our existing broadcasting industry in the Active Worlds. It will most likely further fuels the development of the fast-growing industry. It has created new opportunities for everyone else as well. A new medium to enjoy so much, it's like when television has switched from black and white to color. It introduces a new dimension to the world we now lives in (virtually). It is perhaps one of the greatest innovation ever done in the Active Worlds, beside others in the past. We now have various kinds of media to choose, more than ever before, including radio, television, newspaper (on the Web anyway), and others. It will be seen as one of the biggest changes ever made to our (virtual) life that we knew before in AW. But now, our (virtual) life will be different. The vision is not done yet, though. There's more to come. What will be the next? To quote President Bartlet from a television show called "West Wing", we say "What's next?" We now live in the new century, the 21st century. The century of the future, where the freedom, boldness, and innovative spirits take over the world from the old order of the 20th century. The 21st century granted us a greater 'newfound' freedom in the virtual world whereas 20th century do not. Welcome to the "brave new world." Congratulations, you are in the new world no one has ever gone to before. Media or not, it is just the beginning of the entirely new virtual world (or reality). Sincerely, Legion Chairman of Rockford Township, Phin County, Alphaworld P.S. Tried to make this writing grammatically correct because Eep is back in Active Worlds newsgroups but I sucks lol. My apologies for any kinds of errors you may see here. I tried to express my vision of the Active World's future as best as I can but that's all I can get. Please feel free to let me know of any errors and corrections I may need. Especially you, Eep. ;) My deafness sure make the grammar/English challenging for me. :) syntaxJul 6, 2004, 7:52pm
I think the age of correcting people's grammar in this newsgroup has long
passed. Don't sweat it. -- - Syntax - http://www.swcity.net http://forum.swcity.net [View Quote] |
